I always lust over trying to do Remix. And every year I remember that I a) don't write enough in popular fandoms and b) don't write enough in general. I think last year I wrote five full-length fics. And they were all for Yuletide or another fic exchange. And for vaguely common fandoms, I wrote about eight commentfics for comment_fic.

I wish I could write more, but it seems like every time I start trying to write for myself (as opposed to having an externally imposed deadline and a fic recipient) I just flail and shut down. Which sucks because Remix is the sort of thing I'd do well with-- if I could write enough to qualify for it.

People got confused that they wouldn't have enough stories for remixing next time if they had too many remixes (oh, to have that problem) and there was some crazycakes stuff about being 'vulnerable' to remixing and DEAR HEAVEN WHAT IF WE LET THE PINCH HITTERS REMIX and...honestly I WAS NOT IMPRESSED. That being said, most people were all 'wheeee!'
